We have nearly everything you need to take your Halloween costume and décor to the next level. Our stores are an excellent place to find all of the pieces you need to create your Halloween look—from new items such as costumes, wigs, accessories, and makeup sets—to clothing, accessories, and a wide variety of other items to be repurposed and upcycled into your costume.

Here are some events and contests Goodwill has planned for the season.

Seattle Goodwill’s annual Costume Contest

Seattle Goodwill’s annual Costume Contest runs October 12 - November 2. To enter, submit a photo of your costume with a short description, and each entry will be voted on by the public. The top 10 vote-getters will then be voted on by a Seattle Goodwill team of judges. Three grand-prize winners will be selected. Grand prizes include a pair of tickets to the Seattle Seahawks-Minnesota Vikings game on September 10, a pair of tickets to Trans-Siberian Orchestra and four tickets to The Velveteen Rabbit at Seattle Children’s Theatre.

Who Wore it Best Halloween Dog Costume Contest

Who Wore it Best Dog Costume contest features a handful of adorable dogs wearing costumes found at Seattle Goodwill stores. From new dog costumes to used and DIY costumes sourced at Goodwill, you can find the perfect costume for you and your canine companion. Vote on what dog you think wore their costume best, and you could win a fun dog package courtesy of Mud Bay just for voting. Dogs include local dogs and adoptable dogs from Seattle Humane.

Facebook Halloween Daily Giveaways

Our daily giveaways run from October 15-29 on week days and feature fun packages from around the Greater Seattle area. Highlights include tickets to concerts, gift cards to restaurants and coffee shops, items from local businesses and more! Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/seattlegoodwill, and entering is easy. Simply comment on each giveaway for a chance to win.

Blood Works and Seattle Goodwill Blood Drive

Come support Blood Works blood drive on Friday, October 12 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Dearborn store. There will be a lunch break from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Blood donors will receive a coupon to shop at Goodwill to be redeemed the same day and can be used to put together unique and fun costumes.

Halloween DIY Tour

We've enlisted the help of Brandy from Marabou Designs to help bring all your Halloween ideas to life. She will be making stops at several Goodwill locations this month for special DIY Halloween events. These events are free and open to the public. The first 50 attendees will receive a Goodwill coupon to be redeemed same day.
