When it comes to holiday parties, there’s no statement piece quite like the ugly Christmas sweater. Few days out of the year can you get away with donning a wonderfully ugly, tacky sweater and be celebrated for it.

Yes, you can go to just about any department store and find an already-made sweater, but what’s the fun in that? The best way to stand out from the crowd is making the sweater yourself! It’s fun, easy and you can get everything you need at your local Goodwill.

Between our clothing racks, our aisles filled with seasonal décor and craft section, there’s no shortage of creative ways to design your sweater and truly make it your own.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Find one of our many affordable holiday sweaters at your local Goodwill to serve as your ugly sweater canvas.
2. Gather all the craft and décor items you need.
3. Using a hot glue gun, get creative and secure all your décor items onto your sweater.
4. Let the items set, and proudly wear your sweater with confidence.
