Antonio Smith is part of Seattle Gents, an emerging group of menswear enthusiasts who have a passion for fashion, events and Seattle lifestyle. He recently helped style some men’s looks at Seattle Goodwill http://seattlerefined.com/fashion-beauty/seattle-goodwill-has-dapper-looks-for-dudes-that-wont-break-the-bank . We talked to him more about his passion for style in the Pacific Northwest.

Why did you start Seattle Gents?

I started Seattle Gents with my business partner because we saw a need for elevated Men’s Lifestyle in Seattle.

You have a personal blog. Why did you start the blog and what kind of feedback do you receive?

Yes, I have antoniocdsmith.com. I started the blog because I wanted to document my adventures, events and experiences. When I was younger I would’ve never thought I would have done some of the things I’m doing.

I’ve heard people enjoy my coverage of Tokyo, Japan. The Tokyo Daily Life series is some of my most viewed YouTube videos.

Do you have some tips for guys looking to update their wardrobe?

Play around with your fashion choices. It’s supposed to be fun after all.

What are some of your favorite Goodwill finds?

I found the perfect pair of wide leg black trousers once. I couldn’t have found them at any department store. They were very inexpensive too. It was a win, win.

If someone was new to shopping thrift what tips would you give them?

Be patient and check multiple stores. The best thing about shopping at thrift stores is they all carry different items so check back often.

Do you have a Goodwill store you shop more frequently?

No but I recently visited the Goodwill located on Dearborn. They have so many choices available.

How would you define Northwest style?

That is a hard one.  I could say the typical answer like the outdoor look but I feel like we’re still a young city. The truth is were in flux with new people and changing environment.

Anything else that you would like to include?

Come our Seattle Gents events. Let build something in our great city.
