Goodwill relies on material donations from the people in our communities to fund our critical and transformative work to provide free job training and education to people with barriers to employment. The community expects us to put their donations to the highest use possible.

Seahawks star Doug Baldwin swung by Seattle Goodwill's King County Job Training and Education (JTE) Center on Friday, April 12, to speak to Goodwill students and help kick off new Goodwill-Safeway and Albertsons partnership.

For National Volunteer Week we learned about Irene a volunteer at the Kitsap County Job Training and Education Center.

Seattle Goodwill has recently created the Empowerment Fund to support greater equity and opportunity for women and girls by providing funding for job training and education opportunities for this historically marginalized group.

While the disappointment that it’s not our Seahawks competing in Super Bowl 53 looms heavy in the Seattle air, we’re still planning on partying like it’s 2014. 

At a time when our country and world is becoming increasingly divided, the power of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s message of solidarity and commitment to serving others has never been more important or more necessary.

Nonprofit organizations can also play a critical and essential role in closing the equity gap for disadvantaged students.

On September 14, community volunteers from various organizations dedicated their time to causes they are passionate about.
