Freddy's Story
Freddy fled his home country two years ago to escape a harrowing situation. He left behind his family and knew no English when he landed in Seattle. Freddy connected with Seattle Goodwill and discovered the resources he needed to move forward in his new life.
Meriem's Story
Living in Seattle after moving from Casablanca, Morocco, Meriem felt lonely, out of place and wanted to help her husband financially but didn’t know where to start. She needed to gain English-speaking skill and was looking for help when she discovered Goodwill.

Rocio's Story
Living in her home country of Mexico in Mexico City, Rocio’s life was drastically altered following a series of setbacks. Goodwill has supported Rocio in various ways as a student, offering support services to provide a gas card, obtaining prescription glasses and even aiding in finding affordable housing.

Da'Shawna's Story
Da'Shawna had been dealing with some tough times and her grades in school were struggling. Heading into her senior year, there was no guarantee that she’d be able to graduate unless she figured out a way to get her studies back on track during a pivotal time in her life.
Square's Story
Square, who had a conviction history and resorted to using drugs and alcohol to cope with the tragic loss of two daughters, was homeless and living in Pioneer Square in Seattle when she made a commitment to herself.
Donald's Story
At 65, Donald Lambert isn’t a traditional student. He takes classes at Renton Technical College and Seattle Goodwill, sharpening his writing skills and preparing for more advanced college classes.
