We’re excited to put the spotlight on our brand new Digital Equity Bus, Evergreen Goodwill’s first high-tech mobile classroom.
The bus will bring our Job Training and Education (JTE) computer courses, workforce development programs and wraparound support services directly to rural and historically under-resourced communities across Northwest Washington.
"Our biggest thing is we listen, we don’t judge, we just listen." – Tania
It's been nearly 14 years since Tania began her Goodwill journey after returning home to the United States from Japan. She was on the hunt for a new opportunity, and she now has a flourishing career leading a dynamic team at the Snohomish County Job Training & Education Center where she has hopes of expanding services and having an even bigger impact on the community.
When you choose to shop at or donate to Evergreen Goodwill, you're not only helping to reduce waste and keep materials out of local landfills, but you're also giving back to the community by helping to break down barriers to education and employment. We call this 360° of Sustainability.
“The aerospace program and the internship program both made me learn valuable life skills … just being a better person in general.” – Stephen
Stephen came to Goodwill looking to learn more about the science behind the aerospace industry, and what he left with was so much more. He says the connections he made with people taught him valuable life skills and encouraged him to grow.
Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington has been committed to helping bridge the "digital divide" within the communities we serve through our vital Job Training and Education Programs and services. We do this by bringing digital literacy to the forefront of many of the courses and programs we offer, as well as by helping people in the community gain access to the internet and various forms of technology.
