Our Whatcom County Job Training & Education Center in Bellingham proudly hosted a job and resource fair with a keen focus on connecting immigrant and refugee populations to jobs and resources available in the community.

“What is it from life that you want?” – Daniel
With a strong sense of willpower and perseverance, Daniel, a former Goodwill student, has overcome several obstacles in his life to get to the point where he’s at. With the persistence of his instructor at our Skagit County Job Training and Education Center, Daniel has since received his GED and is on a new path in life that has provided new opportunities and a career in the automotive industry.

After we consider the cost of running our extensive retail operation, we are still able to put over $11 million of that directly toward our mission to provide free job training and education, but also to continue to invest in increasing wages for our own 2,100 employees.'"

Shar's Evergreen Goodwill journey has officially come full circle. It's been over a decade since Shar walked through the doors of her local Job Training and Education (JTE) Center, looking to brush up on some computer skills, and she's now an instructor, teaching computer classes at our Whatcom County center. Coming to Evergreen Goodwill with a wealth of experience, she's hoping to use her skills and knowledge to set students up for success both inside and outside the classroom.
Our Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A program is a FREE opportunity that's available to all Evergreen Goodwill employees who have been a part of the team for at least 90 days. This 4-6 week program gives employees an opportunity for career advancement while learning a wealth of valuable skills and experience.
