Community Needs Assessment
Evergreen Goodwill has a mission to change lives by providing quality, effective employment training and basic education to individuals experiencing significant barriers to economic opportunity. As part of that commitment, we have invested resources to produce a Community Needs Assessment (CNA) that captures information about the people, jobs, and services in the community. This assessment describes how regional economic development has impacted different populations, what needs remain unmet in different communities, and how labor market trends can guide the design of SGI programs to increase economic prosperity for all members of our communities.
Goodwill is sharing its findings as a tool to help the community at large better understand and meet the needs of the region.
Moving forward Goodwill Will utilize the CNA to answer the following questions:
- What partnerships will we have and what sectors will we focus on in each county.
- How does diversity equity and inclusion affect how we serve our students.
- How do we build the necessary infrastructure and better communicate what we do.
Evergreen Goodwill’s main objective in producing the CNA report is to ensure that our Job Training and Education programs meet the needs of the region’s diverse low-income communities for a supported path to employment. We hope the report can serve as valuable guide for others as we strive towards an inclusive economy that supports economic self-sufficiency for all.
