Goodwill x @Rauschenbach of Shibuya HiFi

POSTED June 26, 2026 IN: Community

@rauschenbach x Goodwil

Evergreen Goodwill is officially partnering with Seattle hip hop fixture, vinyl collector, and lifelong thrifter Brian Rauschenbach of Shibuya Hifi for a pop-up celebrating music, vintage style, and community! Here’s the story behind Brian, Shibuya Hifi, and what to expect from the pop-up.

Location: Ballard Goodwill, 6400 8th Ave NW
Kick-off Date: July 10

From July 10 – August 2, Goodwill’s Ballard location will host a pop-up curated by Brian, bringing his aesthetic to the shop floor through secondhand fashion and music gear. Expect band tees, skater shoes, lots of denim, flannels, speakers, headphones, and vinyl, all chosen with the eyes of Brian.

On launch day, July 10 from 6–8pm, Brian will be spinning vinyl live in-store. And the experience doesn’t end after opening night: throughout the summer, a vinyl listening station will be set up on-site, so visitors can drop in and listen to a record anytime they stop by.

Meet Brian Rauschenbach

Brian has been a fixture of Seattle’s creative and hip hop scenes for decades, and a die-hard Goodwill shopper for over 30 years, with a business just down the street from the Capitol Hill location he frequents. His thrifting roots go back to the early ’90s in Youngstown, Ohio, where he hit every yard sale, church sale, and community thrift event he could find.

Shibuya Hifi is Brian’s listening bar concept located in Ballard, Washington that was inspired by a trip to Tokyo’s Shibuya district about 17 years ago. After 35+ years of DJing in loud rooms, Brian wanted to build something different: a space to unplug and actually connect with the people around you. Shibuya Hifi is the result.

A Lifelong Vinyl Collector

Brian’s love of music curation started at home. His father was a serious audiophile and archivist who amassed hundreds of mint-condition records, and his parents even met at a vinyl café where his mother DJ’d. Brian’s advice to fellow collectors: don’t just chase rare, expensive records; the real magic is discovering music outside your favorite artists and genres. It’s the same instinct that makes a thrift rack worth digging through.

Brian’s Style: Authentic and Nostalgic

Brian’s style reflects the era and experiences that shaped him: Adidas, Levi’s, and Puma, plus Japanese denim like Maharishi. At this pop-up, you can get ready to thrift your new favorite pair of jeans, skater sneakers, band tees, vintage duffle bags, and cargo pieces. You’ll also find music gear, including headphones, speakers, and vinyl.

Join the Experience

Whether you’re a longtime vinyl collector, a dedicated thrifter, or just someone who appreciates a well-curated find, the Goodwill x @Rauschenbach pop-up has something for you. Brian has spent decades building community through music, style, and storytelling—and this summer, he’s bringing all of it to Ballard.

Come out on July 10 from 6–8pm to shop the pop-up, hear Brian spin live, and be part of the launch. Can’t make it opening night? The curated collection and vinyl listening station will be at the Ballard Goodwill all summer long, so stop in, go through the racks, flip through some records, and see what you find.
