Goodwill x Stevie Shao: Exclusive Secondhand Sunday Drop

POSTED November 25, 2025 IN: Event

Stevie ShaoSecondhand Sunday officially arrives on November 30, and it’s offering a different kind of start to the holiday season. Instead of diving into fast fashion cycles and Black Friday overconsumption, we’re shifting towards choices that actually help the planet.

Traditional retail fuels overproduction and waste, but secondhand shopping flips that script by keeping pre-loved items in use and out of the landfills. And this year, at the center of it all, is Evergreen Goodwill’s exclusive collaboration with Seattle artist and muralist, Stevie Shao.

The details on our surprise Secondhand Sunday drop with Stevie stays under wraps for now, but here’s what we can reveal: shopping and sustainability can go hand in hand. Secondhand Sunday pushes us toward reuse, creativity, and a way of shopping that does less harm and more good. If choose to do that with Evergreen Goodwill this year, you may just be one of the lucky ones to get your hands on this limited edition release.

Meet Stevie Shao

Stevie Shao is a Seattle based artist whose work is vibrant, high energy, and unmistakably shaped by the Pacific Northwest. As a second generation Chinese American who grew up here, Stevie’s art pulls directly from local culture, personal identity, and community impact. “Growing up in the Pacific Northwest shaped who I am as a person. Not only is that visually reflected in my work, but it also influenced things I consider important to me personally.”

Stevie is a longtime Goodwill shopper. “I love shopping at my local Goodwill to see what I’ll find. Whether its clothes, bags, or trinkets, I always look forward to browsing, and know that my dollars will support community programs.” This very sentiment became the foundation for the artwork she created for this collaboration.

The Collaboration

What Stevie has designed for this collab is a special, limited-stock release that will only be offered on Secondhand Sunday, and it’s something she hopes people will fold into everyday life. “I look forward to seeing this in use and I’m stoked for my art to go out into the public. Send me fit checks and hauls!”

Most importantly, Stevie affirms that purpose was at the center of this project for her. “It’s important to me to be able to amplify local causes and social programs through my partnerships.” With this collaboration, and with all purchases made from Goodwill, everything connects back to this mission: supporting sustainability and the local community by diverting clothes from landfills and funding tuition-free job training and education programs.
