Evergreen Goodwill 2025 Impact Report

Transforming today, empowering tomorrow.
Teacher at goodwill

Dear Evergreen Goodwill Community,

If there’s one word that captures this past year, it’s transformation. At Evergreen Goodwill, we’ve always believed in the power of work as a source of dignity and pride. Over the last 100 years, the way people work and the skills they need have evolved in ways we could never have predicted. In our work, we’re not just reacting to these changes; we’re embracing them. From ensuring that our students are equipped with the hardware and knowledge to confidently navigate a 21st-century digital workplace to piloting AI tools that empower employees in our retail teams, we’re leading the change with innovation and training so that people have the skills they need to thrive in the workplace right now

With gratitude and excitement,

A future where everyone has a sense of belonging and the skills to transform their lives on a healthy planet.

Job Skills & Education

As the leading provider of tuition‑free job skills training and education in Northwest Washington, Goodwill has served more than 50,000 students over the last decade. From English language and digital literacy classes to GED completion and beyond, these classes help learners build confidence and careers, transforming the lives of individuals, their families, and communities.

Retail

Goodwill stores are more than just places of retail; they’re engines of transformation. In addition to offering a vast selection of one-of-a-kind items and great value for money to shoppers, every purchase funds tuition-free job training and education, while millions of pounds of goods are kept out of landfills through recommerce.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of our mission. This year alone, Evergreen Goodwill diverted more than 92 million pounds of material from local landfills through resale, recycling, and salvage. We’re also developing a zero-waste strategic plan to rethink what to do with unsellable goods, aiming to be a regional leader in the circular economy.
