@SeattleSalvage x Goodwill: A Curated Pop-Up Experience
POSTED March 14, 2025 IN: Community

Join the Experience
Some things are just better in person—the thrill of treasure hunting, flipping through vinyl, the artistry of furniture design. These passions live within every Evergreen Goodwill store, but beyond the finds, there’s something even more valuable: community.
Now through June, we’re launching a series of three curated pop-ups, transforming select locations into hubs of exploration and creativity. Each event will celebrate unique interests, from vintage collectors to DIY innovators, offering immersive experiences that inspire.
The series kicks off with Seattle Salvage, whose style blends together secondhand finds with functional pieces inspired by the PNW outdoors. Through thoughtfully designed displays and interactive storytelling this pop-up aims to elevate thrift shopping beyond the ordinary and allows creators to share their craft with the community and connection to Goodwill’s mission.
Location: Seattle Goodwill 1400 S Lane St. Seattle, WA 98144
Kick Off Date: Friday, March 28th, 9AM
Future Locations: Redmond in May & Capitol Hill in June
Finding Treasures in Thrift: In Conversation with Seattle Salvage
Our pop-up series bring together local creatives, collectors, and thrifting enthusiasts who celebrate secondhand finds and sustainable fashion. Our first collaboration is with Nichole, also known as @SeattleSalvage (she/her), a passionate thrifter and content creator who has made a name for herself in the world of secondhand fashion. We caught up with her to talk about her love of thrifting, her evolving personal style, and what inspires her creativity.
From Childhood Thrifting to Thrift Advocate
Evergreen Goodwill: Tell us about your history and experience with Goodwill.
Seattle Salvage: When I was younger, I’d go thrifting with my mom quite often. At the time, I didn’t always love it, but as a single mom of two, it was her way of finding quality clothes for us without spending too much.
As I got older, I started to appreciate the unique and affordable treasures that thrifting offers—it helped me discover my personal style.
Now, I love sharing my finds online, hoping to inspire others to visit their local thrift stores and see what they might discover.
Personal Style & Fashion Favorites
Evergreen Goodwill: Who or what inspires your sense of style?
Seattle Salvage: I pull inspiration from a lot of places, but I love vintage fashion, gorpcore, and streetwear. These styles blend functionality with aesthetics, and they reflect my love for comfort, adventure, and a bit of edge. Sometimes, I like to mix in a feminine touch for contrast.
Evergreen Goodwill: Do you have any favorite brands?
Seattle Salvage: I love brands like Arc’teryx, Fjällräven, Patagonia, Sézane, Gramicci, and Salomon. While I appreciate these brands, I try not to buy new too often. When I do shop, I focus on timeless, durable pieces I’ll wear season after season.
Hobbies Beyond Thrifting
Evergreen Goodwill: What are some of your hobbies outside of thrifting?
Seattle Salvage: I love spending time outdoors—hiking, paddle boarding, and even mushroom hunting when the season is right. I also enjoy sewing projects, which allow me to unwind and be creative. Reading is another big passion of mine, and you’ll often find me at the library picking up something new to dive into. It’s all about balancing adventure with quiet, creative moments.
A Home Filled with Personality
Evergreen Goodwill: How would you describe your home décor style?
Seattle Salvage: I’m all about dopamine décor—filling my space with color, local art, fun pottery, and quirky pieces that make me smile. My home is a reflection of my personality, and I love surrounding myself with things that feel vibrant and playful.
Through our pop-up series, we’re celebrating people like Seattle Salvage, whose passion for secondhand fashion aligns with Goodwill’s values of sustainability and opportunity. Each event will showcase the unique creativity of our community, bringing people together over shared interests and some rare finds. Stay tuned for upcoming pop-ups, and see for yourself why some things are just better in person.
