This fall, we’re teaming up with Duc to launch a curated in-store pop-up at every Goodwill location in Northwest Washington. Elevated basics, unexpected textures, and one-of-one pieces that blend streetwear with timeless vintage.

And here’s more: when you sign up to become a Goodwill Insider, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a free shopping spree and personal styling session with Duc himself. (Yes, you read that right.)

But first, get to know the mind behind the style.

Thrifted Beginnings

Duc’s story with Goodwill goes way back. “Growing up, I always went to Goodwill with my parents whenever they had the time,” he says. “When I got older and started working, I still chose to shop there. It was where I figured out my style—buying clothes, trying new things, picking up knick-knacks for around the house.”

Those early thrift trips didn’t just shape his closet, they inspired his business. Duc and his friends started reselling vintage pieces, many sourced from Goodwill, as a way to bring timeless style to others. As the brand evolved to include original designs, the vintage influence remained.

“We always go back to older pieces for inspiration,” Duc says. “They’ve got great structure, great details. You can’t recreate that feeling—you have to build off it.”

Minimal Looks, Maximum Impact

Duc’s personal style is all about balance: understated fits with thoughtful elements that stand out. “I like a minimal look,” he explains, “but with great details that elevate it.”

Most days, Duc wears pieces from his own label, TMLSSFRVR paired with sneakers or accessories from brands like Nike, Asics, Balenciaga, Kapital, and Maison Margiela. He also pulls from indie designers and secondhand platforms like Depop, Grailed, and (still!) Goodwill.

“It’s not about how much something costs, it’s about what you can do with it. I’ll make something, thrift something, or rework it. I like making pieces feel personal.”
