“On Monday, July 19, leaders from Evergreen Goodwill and Comcast, as well as community members and students gathered to celebrate the opening of an enhanced Lift Zone and Community Space, where anyone can access reliable internet and computers. The space is located at Evergreen Goodwill’s King County Job Training and Education Center, at 700 Dearborn Place South in Seattle.”

KING 5 Evening delves deeper into Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington’s Job Training and Education Programs and overall mission.
“With Evergreen Goodwill approaching its 100th anniversary in 2023, Campbell says, “Make no mistake, we are a nonprofit. After we consider the cost of running our extensive retail operation, we are still able to put over $11 million of that directly toward our mission to provide free job training and education, but also to continue to invest in increasing wages for our own 2,100 employees.'”
This new “Lift Zone lab” will help families across King County receive online
resources, skills and access to vital technology needed for education and employment.
We’re excited to put the spotlight on our brand new Digital Equity Bus, Evergreen Goodwill’s first high-tech mobile classroom.
The bus will bring our Job Training and Education (JTE) computer courses, workforce development programs and wraparound support services directly to rural and historically under-resourced communities across Northwest Washington
Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington has been committed to helping bridge the “digital divide” within the communities we serve through our vital Job Training and Education Programs and services. We do this by bringing digital literacy to the forefront of many of the courses and programs we offer, as well as by helping people in the community gain access to the internet and various forms of technology.
Thanks to Goodwill’s partnership with United Way of King County, tax experts will be available at our Burien Goodwill location through April 21 to help you file your taxes in person. For people living outside of King County, we’ve compiled a list of free in-person and virtual programs to help you get your taxes filed on time.
